Astrology believes that whatever we experience in life, birth and death, health and sickness, pleasure and pain, gain and loss, and everything else in between are all according to our Destiny, which in turn, is the sum total of our Karmas.

Like all theories, astrology is also based on certain premises. Chief among them are the three basic premises.

• The Theory of Karma.
• The belief in Transmigration of The Soul or The Theory of Rebirth or Reincarnation. And…
• The belief encapsulated by the Vedic aphorism “Yatha Pinde Tatha Brahmande”
  (As in the Microcosm, So in the Macrocosm). That is to say, what is present in the cosmos is also present in the individual organism.

If we believe in these three basic premises then we cannot help but believe in the science of Astrology.
The horoscope or the Birth Chart indicates the basic design on which the life of an individual is built. The signs, the planets and the asterisms or the Nakshatras indicate what one may experience in life. With understanding and free will one can change that natural course to one’s advantage; realise one’s goals in life and enjoy a life full of success and happiness.
